Annoyance

Here's my top of mind list. Small gestures that we may not be aware of but can definitely ruin my day!

1. Please, don’t scan my daily planner! Are you my secretary?
2. People pulling my tops to see the designer label. Can’t you just ask?
3. Throwing junk food and candy wrappers outside the car/bus/jeep and anywhere. Then you hear
Filipinos complaining about the environment and blaming the govt why there’s flood everywhere.
4. Let’s meet at 9am …9:05? 9:10? 10???!!!!!
5. You set a meeting through outlook calendar and you get an “Accept” reply. On the day itself, no show and when you bumped into the person and asked what happened, you get this reply,”I didn’t get a call that it’s time to start.”

Clubbing

It's been years (and dont ask) since I went clubbing. Major reason was of course my work schedule for the past two years which really didnt give me that opportunity and second, most of my friends are not into it. They feel like it's for the young ones. But I totally disagree...dancing is for everyone and for all ages.

Last Saturday was my second visit to Streetscape. The first one was worth blogging too. Imagine this: 10:30pm while drinking San Mig Light and eating nachos, you suddenly hear someone singing..."The Greatest Love of oooooollllll!!!!!!" Hello?!! Is this a noontime variety show? Oh well, that was the cue for us to leave. In fairness, they started well. Now, going back, the band last saturday was quite better in terms of repertoire. What was my gauge for me to say that? (1) We were able to last till past 12mn and (2) Christian danced!!!!!! (hurrah...clap clap clap).

I really want to try new places so if you happen to know one, please send me SMS.

Techie-wannabe

I've been doing some adjustments lately since I started in my new job. That would include sleeping at night and being awake during the day, getting into traffic, sweating under the sun, trying to know the people in the office and the most challenging of all -- being adept to technology.
For the past three days, I'm quite bothered by all these 'technical' terms that I've been hearing. people here speaks so fast and when they talk to me or give me instructions, it's as if I've been a long-time user, you know the feeling -- like you're an idiot in front of them? It even came to the point that I had to do my own video (direct, shoot, conceptualize and EDIT). Yes, video-editing is the new skill I've learned for the week.
I look forward to learning more techy stuffs but I just dont know if I'll have the patience because it really requires a lot of time to learn ...not to mention my PC that keeps on hanging! So if I suddenly shift to an IT career, you now know where it all started.

Time Out

My trip to Singapore with my family did push through last June (sorry guys for the post blog entries lately). It was during the week before my last day at work but I still consider it a breather from all the toxic work (both school and office) and off work schedules. It was also my first time to be with my entire family outside the country. All I can say is, that I had a great time. My legs and feet were soaring after the end of each day that I had to sleep with my legs up on the wall. My savings account is on red alert (hehe) but what the heck! As I've said, I enjoyed every bit of my stay. Here are some of my pictures (L-R: dinner in Newton's Hawker, Night Safari, Siloso beach at Sentosa and cable car ride going to Sentosa) and more when you click on My Photos.

Let me share to you what I like about Singapore:
1. very efficient transportation system - MRT is air-conditioned, there's minimal noise once the train gets up and running and you can feel very minimal movements as well. You'll never see an old bus running unlike you-know-where...
2. people are so disciplined - I've never seen a police roaming around. I guess that proves it. Plus it's a very clean city.
3. since it's a small place, you'll never have problems getting around
4. And lastly, people have fashion-sense!!!! hahaha...they are daring and fashionable anytime, anywhere. You see females in the MRT wearing mini-skirts in high-heeled shoes and off-shoulder tops. You dont need to wait for night time before you can see girls in party clothes. Get what I mean?

My next stop? I'll keep you posted :-)
