Thou shall not Kill

The group had dinner at Pantalan in Luneta. This serves as our treat for our Italian Trainer, Valeria. 'Though it is her second time in Manila, this has always been the tradition in the company. Anyway, to go to my point....the seafoods are served fresh. That's the good part, the sad part is...they catch the fish from the huge aquarium then cook it. I'm a soft-hearted person and that I can't take. Don't get me wrong, of course I eat almost everything. I just don't want to see them 'killed' -- the part where they have to struggle to avoid being caught and I can just imagine them screaming "Oh no, not me! Go away you bitch! Catch me if you can!" Then once caught by the net, "Goodbye my friends! *cry* *sob*" and forever be be separated from their friends and/or family.

Hit me Baby!

Yes, please...can someone hit me, slap me! Ooohhh...I'm falling asleep while attending this training. The light from the beamer and by constantly looking at the PC -- it's so painful in the eyes. I need a toothpick to place in between my eyelids! It's not a boring topic though. This reminds me of my Day 1, the time I attended SAP Training. Literally 'falling' asleep. Minutes before that, I knew it was going to happen. I kept on looking at my co-workers to keep me awake then the next thing I knew, everything around me turned black and someone was pulling my clothes from behind.

14 stations

This is a post-Lenten blog entry.....

I went to visit 14 churches last Maundy Thursday. It has been a tradition in our family to do this during Holy Week except that this time, we tried a different route. We visited QC and some of Manila's churches. You can view pix in 'My Photos' link below, click My Adventures.

It was a diffirent experience since there are less people in some of the churches unlike if you visit Quiapo, Sta Mesa and Cathedral. I missed eating sweet corn outside Sta Mesa and drink fresh buko juice in Cathedral.

Oh well, some things really change. The important part is the sincerity of my prayers.

Whine

It's already April and I haven't been to any beach resort! We're supposed to go to Bora with co-workers but the plan didn't push through. That was my only motivation since February. We have a company outing but I'm having second thoughts of joining. I prefer going to the beach. There's something about the open space, the unending view of the water and the sound of the waves that relaxes and gives me confort. 'Though I have to admit I don't like salty water :-)

I WANT TO GO TO THE BEACH! *stomp* *stomp*

Suspect: Spider Kitty

I am bothered! I think Spider Kitty is into drugs or alcohol. Here are some of the signs and symptoms:

1. He doesn't go home anymore at night.
2. When he arrives in the morning, his eyes are red.
3. He can't walk straight.
4. Always sleeping and feeling 'tired'
5. Everytime I confront him, he can't look at me stright in the eye

Hmmm....I think I have to observe him more and if my suspicions are true, is there any rehab for cats?

Professionalism or Miscommunication?

My day didn't start right. I'm supposed to be sleeping however, when I saw in my mobile that it registered 5 missed calls and 5 SMS I was thinking it might be urgent so I got up. It so happen that people we sent for external training were having problems regarding the schedule and being an OC-type, it irritated me a lot. Being part of the support group, my priority customers are internal employees. Customer satisfaction is one indicator that I did my job well and 'though it's true that "Complaint is a Gift", still if I can eliminate/avoid it, why not?

So I now ask the question, what went wrong? I spent the past few days coordinating this seminar with the external vendor. Here's what happened:

1. The instructor (who is not the program coordinator) made arrangements with the participants for Day 2. He gave in to their request of changing the time not knowing that there are 3 more participants who will be joining the Day 2 seminar.
2. The instructor did not inform the program coordinator so the latter was not able to inform me as well.
3. When the 3 additional pax came in and asked about the time of the seminar (since they're wondering how come no one's around), nobody in their office can give an answer.

Moving forward, how do you think can I avoid situations like these? I know the answer but I need someone to validate it. Going back to my blog title, is it an issue on professionalism (on the vendor's part) or miscommunication (between me and the vendor)?
