Review...zzzzz

I'm reviewing my lecture for next week's seminar and I'm quite bored...sleepy is the exact term. Let me see, I had 5 1/2 hours of sleep (not bad) but my normal sleeping hours is 10. I'm a forever growing girl :-) I love sleeping, next to eating. I read in Time Magazine that sleeping is for the brain. I guess that's it, I don't want my mind to be occupied with a lot of things. So, I'm now going back to my review, get another cup of coffee (this time I'll try Cafe Latte, anyway it's for free) and start to yawn. (My seatmate just said: "Rena is so serious with her work"...hehehe..)

Restaurant Review

I discovered this new place along A. Roces Ave. --- Cafe Papemelroti . Yep, same owner of the store, Papemelroti. A place to dine, enjoy company and listen to good music. For P500, you can have a soup, salad, pasta, 9"pizza plus drinks. The wood cabin look and yellow lighting offers the feeling of open warmth, just the right place for a comfortable dining. To add to the homey ambience, they encourage you to select your reading material (from MBA books to How to Learn Ballroom Dancing to Telletubies, name it they have it) --- a pleasant touch! So if you're tired of all the noise in Tomas Morato, check this out!

Healing After the Tragedy

Nah, I wouldn’t be talking here about the tsunami or the flood that affected several areas in my home country. This is more personal. Allow me to be egotistic. Anyway, isn’t this MY BLOG???

I was reading letters from friends dated two years ago. I thought of this Virginia Slims ad that says: “YOU HAVE COME A LONG WAY!” I’m not even going to reminisce about what I went through two years ago or the challenges that I had to overcome. What is important is that I know I am SOOO out of the hole now – it’s because I never gave up and fought for it! I never thought I could handle more than I think I can. Not because I handled everything on my own but I learned how to help myself and know when to ask help from others. Remember the saying that when God closes a door, he opens a window? I think I’ve finally noticed the window plus I’ve found another door :-) As what my friend, Hannah, would say, “Rens, you’re a kick-ass bitch!” I am and I’m proud to be one :-)
