All Alone
Hmph! All my family and friends are on vacation tomorrow (I mean no work)!!!! How I envy you guys while here I am, preparing for another week-long adventure at work. I bet, a lot of people in the office are on-leave, except my boss...huhuhu...
I just spent the weekend doing paperwork for school. That's what you call cramming. Submission is on Wednesday and I haven't started any. Yeah yeah...three more days to go so what's the rush? I have to post an online assignment, read 3 chapters of the book (and I tell you, the topic is totally boring. In 3 minutes, sure fire tulog ka!). I was even planning of doing an outline for all the frameworks, in preparation for our midterms. *sigh* *sigh*
The only exciting thing this week??? I bought a digicam!!!!! Christmas gift to myself (expensive kasi). Now, no need to beg/make kulit Christian for my pictures (which he will send months after...yung tipong iba na ang itsura mo). I can take pictures anytime, anywhere. Yes, it's the size of a credit card...
It's what????
I got a call from my mom's friend inviting her (my mom) to join their office's Trick or Treat party. Then it dawned upon me that it's Halloween!!! I looked at my last entry and noticed it was last Oct. 10. Where was I??? How come I didn't notice the time? Perhaps, I was too occupied with work, plus the fact that I'm asleep during the day, that I didn't notice these things anymore.
For the past 7 years, halloween used to be a big event and a busy season for me. Everyone in the office are busy decorating the premises, all eager to win the grand prize, buying candies for the children, looking for costumes to wear. On the day itself, we're totally unproductive because of the programs and games for the kids. How I miss doing that. Sad to say but we don't celebrate it here in my new office (which is weird given that halloween is a big thing in the US). I guess, the salsa party Karen, Aldrich and I attended last night (only for an hour) at Cafe Havanna was already our way of celebrating Halloween.
I hope I was able to see my nephew wear his Winnie the Pooh costume, but Auntie Ninang is asleep!
Happy Halloween folks!
Books, boxing and beach
If I only have the time, these are the things I want to do:
1. Finish reading Harry Potter Book 5! I borrowed the book from Hannah since last summer. But I'm still in Chapter 16...10 more to go...
2. Box till i drop. I really enjoy it. Like I'm hitting two birds in one stone. I get to firm those arms and learn self-defense (and who knows, it might come in handy -- be a natural reaction once a discover something i don't like)
3. Swim...i really have to work on my speed. Good thing there's Karenwho gave me some tips, now I have to practice it of course
4. Dance, dance and dance. If I'm not in the corporate world, probably I'm a professional dancer...
5. Go to Divisoria and shop shop shop! the best bargains in town...especially since it's the ber-months, need to prepare for christmas (boxes, wrappers, ribbons...tsk!)
6. Beach or any out-of-town. Actually it's more of unwinding, i haven't tried but they say Boracay is nice and fun even in december. To my surprise, some of the best hotels/resorts are already fully booked.
7. Take care of Bryce.
