Weekend @ Coco Island

Here’s a glimpse of Coco Beach Island Resort, Puerto Galera. We were there last April 28 – 30. I wasn’t really planning on any summer outing since (1) I can’t find anybody or a group to go out with , and (2) I am saving for a ‘dream’ vacation. But since Christian and the Berks were eager to bathe out in the sun, I have to make last minute reservations. It was originally planned for the holy week and the word “planning” is now part of his vocabulary, so we had to postpone. It was a good thing as well so that it’ll be like the culminating activity – from my birthday to graduation.

The best thing I like about the place is that it was able to preserve nature’s beauty and here are pictures to prove it. Yes, you will also find coconut trees and plants in other beaches but here, each nipa hut is surrounded by plants (flowers, plants, shrubs) and now I understand why they don’t have air conditioning – rely on fresh air:-)

The place is a separate island from your usual Puerto Galera beaches so it wasn’t really crowded despite that it’s summer and it’s also not an empty resort. Most of the guests were foreigners – not sure from which country because English is not their main language.

They also have a silent pool.

And in case you’re done with the water, they have tennis, basketball and badminton courts plus mountain bikes, board games and massage.

Yes, it's a nice place. I seldom appreciate nearby beaches (hehe) but this one, I give my thumbs up.
